The guidelines for the purchase of instruments and equipments are the teaching goes first, then the faculty research or the special topics of the students is the second, the research or the industry projects will be the last. Currently, there are soil mechanics Lab., concrete mixture Lab., hydraulic Lab., survey instruments room, hydraulic research office, geotechnical research Lab., non-destructive testing Lab., hydraulic-ocean environment research Lab., all those Labs are built for the research of the undergraduate and graduate students. The “center for the development of spatial information and disaster prevention technology” was built to increase the interaction among the academics, the industries, and the government agencies, from those industrial cooperation projects, the experience of the demand for practical techniques can be cumulated, all those will help to increase of the level of technologies, the numbers of invention patents and the production of the technical papers.
